Questions
Does Foldwell read my chats?
Only what it needs. It reads chat titles and links from the sidebar so you can file them. It reads the text of a chat only when you export it. Nothing is sent to us or to anyone else.
What happens to my folders if I uninstall?
Your chats stay in your ChatGPT, Claude or Gemini account. The folders are stored by the extension, so they go with it. Download a backup first and you can restore it later.
Is there a limit on folders?
Not one you pay to lift. Foldwell holds up to 10,000 folders and 20,000 filed chats, which is far more than anyone files by hand.
Can I use it on two computers?
Yes. Folders do not sync on their own, so move them with a backup file. One Pro key works on up to three browsers.
Why is there no bulk delete for Gemini?
Gemini does not offer a dependable way to delete a chat from outside its own menu yet. Folders, search and export all work on Gemini.
Does it work in Edge or Brave?
Both can install extensions from the Chrome Web Store. We build and test on Chrome.
Is it a subscription?
No. Pro is a single payment of $29 and it keeps working.
